The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign School of Music invites applications for a full time Assistant/Associate Professor in Music Education (Instrumental: Band). This is a tenure-track faculty position to begin August 16, 2023.

This member of the music education area will teach instrumental (band) music education courses and other undergraduate and graduate courses within the School of Music’s music education area; supervise graduate research, including Master’s theses and PhD dissertations; sustain a scholarly agenda that has the potential for regional and national impact; establish and maintain partnerships with school and community organizations; build relationships to attract, support, and retain students for the music education program; and contribute to service in the profession, the music education area, and the School of Music.
