Corning, New York, USA
The BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) Residency is a way of actively fostering a culture and community of inclusion that promotes, respects, and celebrates individuals who identify as members of this community. Artists spend a month at The Studio exploring new directions in glassmaking or expanding on their current bodies of work while using the immense resources of the world’s leading glass museum. Transportation, as well as room and board, is provided for those selected to participate. A generous supply budget and a shared studio space is offered for each resident. Residents have access to the Rakow Research Library, the collection of The Corning Museum of Glass, and expert Museum staff. A residency manager serves as a liaison to additional services in Corning and at the Museum.
