BHVivaVox is the newest professional choir of New York City. We are a small ensemble dedicated to giving life to choral compositions created by living composers. For our first concert in 2023 we are programming 9 choral pieces. We are seeking original choral works from composers that would like to have their pieces performed and live recorded. Composers are not required to attend the performances in person, and travel funds are not available for composers.
Guidelines: Two to five minutes’ duration; Mixed choir (SATB), limited divisi is acceptable; Unaccompanied, or piano accompaniment; Text must be in English; Rights to text must be cleared, and evidence of copyright holder’s permission must be shown; Maximum of 2 submissions per composer; Sound files or links to recordings are encouraged; Works that have been premiered are also eligible

Submissions
-a pdf score for each piece
-a sound file or link to a recording for each piece
-a short bio

Composers of chosen works will be notified by January 29th, 2023 via email.
