The V International Uuno Klami Composition Competition invites composers from the Nordic and EU countries, as well as other European countries listed, to submit entries for new repertoire for a small orchestra of sinfonietta type. The entries must not have been previously published or performed and must comply with the orchestra specifications. Entries can be submitted until December 4, 2023. Finalists will be chosen in early spring 2024 and invited to attend rehearsals and premieres of their works in autumn 2024, where the winners will be announced and awarded prizes. The competition is open to composers of any age, and there is no application fee. The location of the event is in Kouvola and Kotka, two towns in the Kymenlaakso region of Southeast Finland.
