The Flute New Music Consortium Festival is seeking performers and composers for their event at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. Open to all musicians regardless of instrument, the festival will feature workshops, performances, and lectures by composer Reena Esmail. Proposals for music written in the last 50 years are welcome, with no restrictions on age or nationality. Proposals are due by May 15, 2024. Registration costs $50 for non-FNMC members and $30 for current members. Accepted participants are responsible for their own transportation and accommodations. The festival will take place from October 11-13, 2024, at the Strauss Performing Arts Center. Those interested can book a special group rate at the Courtyard Omaha Aksarben Village.
