Open to composers of all ages and nationalities, the NC NewMusic Initiative 16th Annual Orchestra Composition Competition offers a chance for composers to have their work performed by the East Carolina University Symphony. Submissions must meet specific guidelines regarding instrumentation, duration, and difficulty level. The winning composer will be notified by December 25, 2023, and must be available to attend the performance. Accommodations and a travel stipend will be provided, but may not cover all expenses.
