Program Coordinator - Bridge to Industry

The Bridge to Industry Fellows Coordinator is a newly-appointed temporary position administering the Bridge to Industry Fellows Program piloted in Fall of 2022, running through June 2023 (including program assessment). The Coordinator duties include designing, implementing, overseeing, and assessing a mentorship program between approximately 10 currently enrolled students at CalArts and various industry professionals. This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week for six months: 2-3 days per week remote or on-site at CalArts or industry sites (varying week to week dependent on programming).

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Knowledge of existing and current trends in animation;
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Ability to work in a small team setting demonstrating initiative and dependability;
Ability to handle multiple tasks with ease and have the ability to independently prioritize tasks/duties;
Professional demeanor, and be business-oriented with strong telephone and customer service skills;
Proficient utilizing MS Office, database management software, and Internet. Skilled at creating reports.
Displays confidence in working with external partners and vendors to facilitate relationships with the institute.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree preferred;
Industry experience in film and entertainment preferred;
Understanding of advising students in an arts education setting is highly preferred;
Two years of experience in running experiential learning programs or mentorships, preferably in an arts setting
General administration preferred
Previous experience in career or student services preferred;
Proven experience in career programming with outreach skills targeted toward working with students of diverse communities (1-2 years experience preferred).
