The South Arts Southern Prize and State Fellowships celebrate artistic work in the American South. Open to artists in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee. 9 fellows receive $5,000 each, the winner gets $25,000, the finalist $10,000. Jurors select winners based on artistic excellence in various categories. Applicants must be 18+, US citizen or permanent resident in the South Arts region for 2+ years, and a current resident in the state applied in until June 30, 2027. Apply by Dec 10, 2025.
