Calling all composers who are people of color, women, and/or LGBTQIA+! The Christman Opera Company has announced its cast for Voices Raising Voices - an initiative to highlight the work of diverse musicians. We are now looking for pianists and inviting composers to submit their works. We'll then match the songs with appropriate singers on our roster, who will record them - with recorded piano accompaniment if necessary. COC will then publish the recordings on YouTube and social media. They will be released in our series one by one as they are ready.

VRV's roster includes singers who have performed with The Metropolitan Opera, Caramoor, the Rossini Opera Festival, Teatro Nuovo, Sarasota Opera, the Münchner Philarmoniker, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Palm Beach Opera, and St. Petersburg Opera and on the stages of Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall (now David Geffen Hall), and other prestigious venues.
