Artist Open Call - Peniche Lisa Belle | Rolling Deadline
Docked in Paris's Port d'Arsenal, the Lisa Belle is a péniche artspace where social practice art, activism, and connection meet. We bring together participatory creation, community action, and convivial gatherings to stage encounters that challenge social structures and resonate intersubjectively.
We center voices marginalized by the mainstream art economy, creating space for activists, thinkers, and artists to engage through experimental works that speak to real struggles while imagining and building alternatives. Here, laughter, grief, and joy are not sidelines to political work, but essential engines.
We run on a sharing ecosystem: the space is free for all to use, sustained by those who use it. Our model is built on mutual care and actively redistributing creative power. Lisa Belle is a vessel for reimagining futures built on care and collective power. Our work is to make the revolution irresistible.

KNOB DETOX 2026 is a colloquium to be held in person from October 13 to 18, 2026, at the State University of Paraná, in Curitiba (Brazil), featuring artistic works and scholarly papers. Its central aim is to discuss sound as a transdisciplinary field of technological inquiry, in which creative, experimental, and immersive approaches become distinctive methodological tools. We are particularly interested in debating the recurring disconnect between “music and technology,” evident both within music departments and within the traditionally established territorial boundaries of artistic and musical competencies, which tend to project technology as something distant and foreign—laden with technicalities, technocentrism, artificiality, and a futuristic tone.
In seeking to transcend this view, KNOB DETOX presents itself as a space for connection and provocation between subfields of the Arts (music, film, performance, video art, dance, etc.) and fields that engage with artistic thinking (education, philosophy, anthropology, geography, history, sociology, communication, museology, architecture, music therapy, biology, health sciences, engineering, computer science, geosciences, physics, mathematics, among others). Our aims are to:
a) delineate musical creation as an inherently technological practice and medium; b) foster advanced studies on sound and technologies from a critical perspective within contemporary sciences; c) strengthen shared research lineages.
