The Pittsburgh Symphony is seeking orchestral compositions from Pennsylvania composers for the 25/26 Schooltime program. The winning composer will receive a $1,000 prize, travel, and accommodation for the performance.
2026 Vanguard Composer Competition - Queer Urban Orchestra | September 22nd, 2025
The Queer Urban Orchestra is hosting the 2026 Vanguard Composers Competition open to LGBTQ+ composers worldwide. Winner receives $1,000 cash award, work performed in June 2026, with two runners-up for a reading in January 2026. Virtual sessions offered to all entrants.
