Visual Arts


WCWD? by Asian American Arts Alliance (A4) is a grant opportunity for NYC artists to support Asian and AAPI communities with engaging projects. 15 artists will receive $1,500 to engage, aid, and care for the communities. Projects can take various forms and must be completed within a four-month period.


The Grants for Artists program in Oklahoma provides up to $500 for educational purposes to artists working in visual art. Eligible artists must be 21+ years, not in a BFA/MFA program, and Oklahoma residents. Categories include Craft/Traditional Arts, Photography, Drawing, Film/Video/New Media, Mixed-Media/Multi-Discipline, Painting, and Sculpture.


The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission invites U.S. artists to submit original designs of northern bobwhite quail and eastern wild turkey for the 2025 Arkansas State Quail and Turkey Stamp Art Competition. Winning designs will be featured on stamps and displayed at the Historic Cane Hill Gallery in Canehill, Arkansas. Grand prize is $2,500. Deadline: January 25, 2025.


 

 

Music


The Colorado Wind Ensemble is seeking scores from underrepresented composers. Selected composers will receive a $2000 prize, professional recording, and a residency at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Original compositions should be at grade levels 1-3.


The Wilmington Children's Chorus is accepting applications for The Daniel L. Ridout Jr. Teaching Fellowship for BIPOC music education professionals. Full-time position for the 2025-2026 season with annual salary of $44,000 to $50,000. Opportunities for mentorship, career enrichment, and community involvement. Ideal applicant must be a person of color at the beginning stages of their music education career, with training in teaching, conducting, and intercultural understanding. Keyboarding skills and creativity are valued. Application materials include a letter of interest and a resume.


The NowBeat Project 2025 Cycle provides young composers, ages 10-16, with the opportunity to write short compositions for chamber ensembles. Participants receive feedback from Composer-Mentors, attend monthly Zoom meetings, have their pieces read by Juilliard student musicians, and have their finished pieces recorded by Juilliard students. The program is free, open worldwide, and includes various universities' music composition students as Mentor-Composers. Application open from December 23, 2024, to January 24, 2025, with acceptance notifications by February 7, 2025.


 

Performing Arts


Ucross Foundation Residency offers a peaceful environment for artists to focus on their creative process. Open to international artists in various disciplines, providing living accommodations, meals, work space, and uninterrupted time. Residencies last from two to six weeks with up to ten individuals in residence at a time. Residents responsible for travel to Sheridan, Wyoming but no charge for residency. Visual artists, writers, composers, choreographers, and collaborative teams eligible.


Vietnamese Actors Casting Call| January 18th, 2025

Casting call for Vietnamese actors in New York City for lead and supporting roles in a film about a struggling immigrant dealing with gambling addiction. Proficiency in Vietnamese required.
